How do you get ideas for your characters? Describe the process of creating them.
This is an impossible question, because I don’t have just one method. When I’m roleplaying, it could be the desire to fill a niche on a site, the desire to use a certain PB (so sue me), or I get an idea for a character and then develop him/her. When I’m planning stories, I tend to have a main character and a vague idea for his/her development in my head, and then I have to figure out a plot, which tends to be too overwhelming.
Do you listen to music while you write? What kind? Are there any songs you like to relate/apply to your characters?
It’s nothing that I make a habit, but sometimes I will lay around and listen to music to get me into a creative mood, or to get me excited to write. There are plenty of songs that remind me of characters when I hear them: No Rain by Blind Melon = Rhys and I cannot listen to Damien Rice without thinking of Desmond.
Okay, I am pathetically begging for sex and I acknowledge that, but what’s up with these women who are proud of sleeping around. When a man sleeps with 100 girls, he has a key that opens 100 locks. When a woman sleeps with 100 guys, a woman has a…
im sorry guys but i dont get it either. I know that its something about how a woman chooses to have sex freely and its about her making her own decisions without being judged, but to me, there are good choices and bad choices, sleeping with a different guy every week is a bad choice. sorry.
while it has been proven that yes, exposure to stds does in fact increase when you have several partners, there are ways to do it safely. furthermore, the stigma against women having a lot of sex is much, much worse than the reputation men get when they have a lot of sex.
he’s a stud, she’s a slut.
he’s a player, she’s a prostitute.
these double standards are entirely unacceptable.
and furthermore, it’s really not anyone else’s buisness what someone does with their own body. the idea is that you make your /own/ decisions, not the decisions of others. do what you like, but don’t shame others when they do something you don’t.
i dont shame anyone because they choose to do something i wouldnt do, and i agree that the whole double standard that men are called heroes when they have sex with multiple women but women are called sluts when they do the same is also wrong. but that doesnt make their decisions, men or women, any better. while sex is a very natural thing its also very special and should be shared with someone you deeply care about. do you have to be married? no. but im getting off topic cause i rant too much, having crazy sex with different people every week, whether you are a man or a woman is wrong, if you choose to do so then thats your buisness, but it doesnt make it any better.
It’s one thing to say “I don’t do it because it’s not for me”, but you can’t, in the same breath, say “I’m not shaming anyone” and “but what you’re doing is wrong.”
Do you see that?
Do you see how you are shaming people by saying what they do is wrong?

So I was just cleaning old old notebooks out of my closet, and I discovered all of these comics I used to draw about a 10 year old girl named Monica and her best friend Jake, who used to solve mysteries in their school. Monica was basically me except she did cool things and had friends and a pet flying squirrel who wore aviator goggles, and I just sat by myself at the lunch table and drew pictures of her into my English notebook.
